ROARING FORTIES A STUNNING COINCIDENCE FOR GRAND FINAL

The stars have aligned at Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway for the Good Friday Grand Final of the Queensland Ultimate Sprintcar Championship, with an extraordinary coincidence of numbers across the event.

An unplanned trifecta of “Forties” has stunned organisers and fans alike as the venue hosts a record 40 Sprintcar nominations for the event with a 40 Lap A-Main feature race, all in the last event of the Charlton venue’s 40th season.

“It’s all a bit strange but very cool at the same time,” said Speedway Events Manager Bennie Bishop, “but each of the “forties” are significant in their own right.”

“A new record of Sprintcar entries is momentous for us, and a 40 lap race is always an object of interest for all the issues of tyre wear and fuel consumption that a race of that length presents, and then the 40th season of this fantastic venue is a phenomenal milestone, so put that all together and we have a very special night ahead, that we couldn’t have scripted any better if we tried!”

The event also features a Demolition Derby, the Queensland Wingless Sprint Title, Modified Sedans and Street Stocks.

Tickets are available from the gate from 3pm or right now at SpeedwayTickets.com.au, with racing starting at 4:45pm and Sprintcars from sundown. For more details check out toowoombaspeedway.com or the Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Facebook page.
