The opening round of both the Modified Sedan Steering & Suspension Warehouse Club Championship Series and the Street Stocks Immortal Rollcages Club Championship Series kicks off at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway on Saturday 28th September.
After a strong rollup of cars to the practice night last weekend, it's expected a hotly contested field of both divisions will be on hand when the season kicks off.
Leading the charge in the Modified Sedans will be local trio Rodney Pammenter and Shane and Nathan MacDonald who will be all looking to get an early jump on defending series champion Aidan Raymont.
With a series first prize of fitted bumper to bumper rollcage valued at over $4,000 a great field of Street Stocks will converge on the high banked venue.
The national Street Stock division continues to grow in popularity as fans enjoy the competitive nature and raw excitement of the racing that contested in both directions.
Last year’s series winner Nathan Barbeler will be all guns blazing, but should be ready for a barrage of opposition from Toowoomba’s duo Robert Trapp and Luke Wilkinson among with Kingaroy’s Peter Thompson.
