THE CHRONICLE JOINS SPEEDWAY BREAST CANCER INITIATIVE

The highly successful Ultimate Pink Night event will once again be held at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway this coming season Proudly presented by The Chronicle Newspaper in Toowoomba the event will feature some of Queensland’s best Speedway drivers racing for a cause that is close to everyone’s heart.

“Pink Night” offers an increased awareness and support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and offers free entry for female patrons of all ages to attend.

“This is an annual event that we are very proud of,” says Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway Race Director Kathy Kelly, “every year through the passion of our sport we promote a very important message about Breast Cancer awareness to both our Speedway fans and the greater entertainment sector in Toowoomba through an extensive advertising campaign. We also provide the means for fundraising on the night and we celebrate both the women and men who continue on their journey with this disease. And we celebrate the memory of those who have passed away.”

Kelly believes that the cause is sadly very relevant to many of the Speedway drivers, officials and spectators. “Breast Cancer has touched so many lives in our sport and indeed across all platforms of sport. So many of our teams have stories to tell about loved ones who have passed away or continue to battle on bravely in the face of the disease. It’s a very relevant topic in any walk of life and we as the sport of Speedway are proud to do our part to raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.”

Racing on the night of Saturday, December 15 will feature the fourth round of the lucrative USC QLD Ultimate Sprintcar Championship, Modified Sedans, Lightning Sprints, Wingless Sprints and Compact Speedcars.

Each season “Ultimate Pink Night” is held at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway and its sister venues Valvoline Raceway in Parramatta NSW and Murray Machining & Sheds Speedway in Murray Bridge SA. Huge crowds flock to the venues to enjoy a family night of entertainment and support the Breast Cancer cause.

Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway is proud to play its part in the awareness and fundraising for the NBCF and proudly welcome The Chronicle onboard as the presenting partner on Saturday, December 15.
