PAMMENTER IN BOX SEAT FOR SUPER DRIVE

After a busy start to the season, another fantastic field of Modified Sedans return to Hi-Tec Oils Speedway in Toowoomba for round four of the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Golden Helmet Series this Saturday night alongside World Series Sprintcars.

The overall winner of this series will get to drive in multiple Super Sedan race meetings for the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Team and Toowoomba’s very own Rodney Pammenter, currently sits on top of the standings. Pammenter has had an unbeaten start to the season including another feature race win at Kingaroy a couple of a weeks ago. The home town hero will be looking to emulate his form that saw him win all 3 heats and the 25 lap feature race in convincing style at the opening round of his series held in back in October at the Toowoomba venue.

Pammenter’s form has been electric to the start the season and will be hoping to see it continue this weekend on his home track “If just been really lucky so far this season. The cars held together and I’ve been at the right place at the right time. Russell was unlucky last week, as he was probably going to win up in Kingaroy, until he broke in the closing stages,” a
humble Pammenter said.

Russell Harris is another that has burst into life this season with an impressive and consistent start. On board his new FG Falcon and after the opening three rounds, Harris sits second in the series only 72 points behind Pammenter. Australian Champion Brett Baxter, who by his own admissions struggled at the opening round earlier in the season, however is still within striking distance in third position, only 36 points behind Harris and 14 points ahead of Kingaroy’s Brett Barron in fourth. Barron only finished one heat after engine problems forced him onto the side lines in Toowoomba back in October but has been on a charge ever since and has his race face on this Saturday night.

“It’s time to roll up the sleeves and have a real crack this weekend.” “With 50 points on offer for feature race win and additional 90 points on offer during the heats, its fair game and I’m coming for them” Barron remarked.

Former National Champion Greg Worling, had uncharacteristic car failure at the last round and has dropped down to fifth in the standing, so Toowoomba fans can expect Worling to bounce back with a big performance on the high banks.

In total twenty eight drivers have nominated and all the action is set to get underway from 4:45pm. Modified Sedans will contest nine, eight lap heat races, along with a qualifying ‘B’ Main and a twenty-five lap feature race.

The organising group for the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Modified Sedan Golden Helmet Series would once again sincerely like to thank the following valuable partners for making this series possible, Ian Boettcher Race Parts, Speedway Sedans Queensland, Fusion Graphix & Signs, Ash Media Speedway Footage, Hi-Tec Oils Speedway and the South Burnett Speedway Club.
