Last Speedway Show Set to Sizzle at TBar

Speedway fans will have their last chance to get their fuel-fume-fix this weekend as Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway rounds out the season with three major events in one night.

The Charlton venue will host the V8 Dirt Modified Queensland Title, the Queensland Lightning Sprint Title and the prestigious Speedcar Danny Davidson Memorial this Saturday for the final event until next season begins in September.

Events Manager, Bennie Bishop said that the “Triple Header” event will be a suitable way to close out a very significant season for the venue.

“This weekend we will host two state titles and a prestigious memorial race to close the season so it will be a great way to crown some new champions. We have Toowoomba based teams in every division with every chance of being on the top step this weekend so their will be plenty for the locals to barrack for!”

Mr. Bishop said that despite some early-season teething problems, the venue is now becoming well established on a national level.

“Our first two events were tough with the track going really dusty but now we have that sorted and we’re building a great reputation right around the country as one of the best tracks in the nation which is something that Toowoomba can be really proud of, so we are already planning a next season with some very exciting announcements to be made in the next month, so keep your eyes on our website.”

Spectator gates open at 3pm with hot laps from 5pm. For more information, check out www.toowoombaspeedway.com and the Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Facebook page.
