TWO TIME AUSSIE CHAMP JOINS TRIPLE CPV CHALLENGE LINE UP

The Clay Per View Sprintcar Easter Triple Challenge entry list has been bolstered by the inclusion of two Australian Sprintcar Champion, Dave Murcott.

The Victorian based gasser will rejoin his Queensland based Horrell Motorsports team in the familiar Mainline Dynalog Dynamometers #Q83 heading to the high banks of Hi-Tec Oils Speedway in Toowoomba Good Friday, then onto Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway Saturday then returning to Toowoomba on Easter Sunday.

"I havent raced a whole lot at Toowoomba and had mixed results at Brisbane over the years, but Queensland certainly hasn’t had the success for us that other states of had, but we’re really looking forward to this weekend and hopefully getting a win after what’s been a frustrating year.”

Murcott’s season has been marked by consistent top five finishes but only one victory at Warrnambool at the World Series Sprintcars USC Speedweek Grand Final, and it’s that trend of “close, but not close enough” that has plagued the team’s results the whole season.

“The last two seasons, we’ve been right at the pointy end most nights and won a bunch of races, but at this level, you only have to be one or two percent off to be out of the mix and not edging for a win, and that’s where we’ve been all year, so we’re trying to find where that speed has gone to, and we think we’re getting closer, so we’re looking forward to putting it into practice this weekend.”

Racing for the Clay Per View Easter Triple Challenge starts from 5pm this Friday at Towoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway. For updates, check out Hi-Tec Oils Speedway Facebook Page and www.toowoombaspeedway.com
