IT’S TIGHT AT THE TOP IN USC QLD

The Queensland chapter of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship has scripted a tight finish to the inaugural series, with just two rounds remaining.

Will Power 500 winner Peter Lack has a slender 6 point lead over the freshly settled Gold Coast resident, Robbie Farr who has bagged two wins this season at Toowoomba, but with 150 points up for grabs for the win on Good Friday, third place sitter, Luke Oldfield is well and truly in with a chance as he sits in a not too distant 18 points behind Farr.

And while Oldfield has his gaze fixed on the tail tank of Farr’s NQ7, he’s also under threat from Andrew Scheuerle and Danny Reidy who are just another 18 points behind, locked equally on 644, with Scheuerle in front on a count back of best results.

In fact, the top nine drivers are within an A-Main win’s striking distance of the points lead, leaving the field to roll the dice on Good Friday to see where they will all stand leading into the Grand Final only eight days after on April 2.
